The Ninth Issue of the IAU Catalyst is Now Available Online

In issue 9 of the IAU Catalyst, we can hear from our President, Debra Elmegreen, on Why be an IAU Member? General Secretary Jose Miguel Espinosa provides an overview of the IAU Regional Meetings in 2023. IAU Vice President Laura Ferrarese and Claus Leitherer, Chair of the IAU Resolution Committee, give us important updates on the process of actively participating in the IAU Resolutions. Hear from Boonrucksar Soonthornthum, President of Commission C1, about the Highlights on Astronomy Education and Development. For this edition’s Science Focus, we welcome Richard de Grijs on behalf of the organisation of IAU Symposium 376: At the Crossroads of Astrophysics and Cosmology: Period-Luminosity Relations in the 2020s, and Tomoya Hirota, Co-Chair of the Scientific Organising Committee for IAU Symposium 380: Cosmic Masers: Proper Motion toward the Next-Generation Large Projects Highlights.
