H4 – Inter-Division G-H-J Commission Stellar Clusters throughout Cosmic Space and Time
Description
Commission H4’s remit includes observational, theoretical, and numerical studies of stellar clusters and associations across the full age and mass ranges, whether or not they are gravitationally bound. We encourage research addressing their stellar populations, kinematics and dynamics, their formation, evolution, destruction, and cluster population properties, as well as their environmental impact, both in the nearby Universe where individual stars can be easily resolved and at greater distances where clusters are seen as (possibly resolved) high-luminosity components associated with their host galaxies. Complementary focus is placed on understanding the relationship between clusters and galactic field-star populations. The Commission's main communication means is through the SCYON Newsletter.
