Grants & Prizes

The IAU spends roughly one third of its income on grants for participation in the annual nine IAU Symposia, in the annual Regional IAU Meeting, and in the triennial IAU General Assembly.

In addition, the IAU spends roughly one-third of its income on grants issued in the context of  education within the IAU including on the  International Schools for Young Astronomers (ISYA).
