TGF Fellowship Application submission form

Note: Two reference letters from people who have worked or collaborated with the applicant at some stage of the applicant’s career must be uploaded directly by the reference persons themselves, keeping in mind the application deadline. After submission of an application, the applicant will receive a link to distribute to these reference persons. After submission of these 2 letters, they will automatically be linked to the applicants' submitted application and will be considered complete.

Deadline: the complete applications for the TGF Fellowship 2024 should be uploaded no later than March 1st 2024. Applications received after that date or incomplete applications will not be considered. In order to give your references time to complete their letters of reference, please be sure to submit the application before the deadline. Please note that the time of the deadline is 11:59 PM in the IAU office in Paris, France. In European winter, Paris clock time is UTC + 1 hour. In European summer, Paris clock time is UTC + 2 hours. Applicants will be notified by the IAU General Secretary of the outcome of the selection before 31 May 2024. The name of the selected TGF Fellow 2024 and that of the host institute will be announced on the IAU website.

Complete bibliography of publications, refereed or otherwise, of the candidate

The applicant’s research project to be carried out at the desired host institute (length: up to 5 pages of text in Times 12 or equivalent font; with up to 4 figures)

A draft budget for the use of the desired stipend by the applicant at the host institute (e.g., travel expenses, publications, invitations, etc.)

A letter of appointment to a postdoc position from the director of the desired host institute, with particular attention to salary issues (salary amount, overheads, etc., to be covered by the host institute)
