Subject: 12th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves

Dear IAU Div D Members,

We would like to draw your attention to the 12th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves, which will take place July 9-14 2017 in Pasadena, USA. This is the first Amaldi conference since LIGO and Virgo announced the detection of gravitational waves from the merger of two black holes into a single black hole. Unlike previous Amaldi Conferences that focused on anticipated gravitational wave science and detector development, this is the first Amaldi conference to examine the science arising from the LIGO-Virgo detections and the successful LISA Pathfinder mission, the precursor to LISA. The organizers would like to encourage interested astronomers to attend.

The deadline for registration is May 31.  More information can be found at http://amaldi12.org
