39 Letters of Intent for IAU Symposia in 2019 were received last September:

I would like to remind you that the deadline for fully-fledged proposals is 15 December 2017.   It is recommended that prospective proposers get in contact with colleagues with similar interests in an attempt to best collaborate in order to avoid duplications and unnecessary competition.  Please also consider soliciting supporting letters from the Division you have selected to be coordinating or just supporting, as these letters will have to be submitted together with the applications.
