Registration and abstract submission are now open for this year’s Astronomy Education Conference (AstroEdu): Bridging Research & Practice. The meeting will take place from 10 to 12 May 2023 in Toronto, Canada, hosted by the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. It will be held in a hybrid format, with participants welcome to attend in person as well as online.
The AstroEdu Conference was launched in 2019 by IAU Commission C1: Astronomy Development and Education, to provide a regular international meeting dedicated to the rapidly growing field of astronomy education. The conference takes place biennially, with the aim of improving the quality and impact of astronomy education worldwide.
AstroEdu 2023 will bring together researchers, teachers and students from across the world to discuss the latest developments in astronomy education at all levels. Everyone with an interest in the field is welcome to participate.
To facilitate the widest possible participation, registration fees will be indexed to Gross National Income, with reduced fees for those attending virtually. A limited number of travel grants will be available, sponsored in part by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). Requests for travel grants can be submitted here.
