Regional Nodes and Language Expertise Centres

In addition to the global coordinating office in Cape Town, there are a number of Regional Offices of the OAD (ROADs) and Language Expertise Centres of the OAD (LOADs). They have similar objectives as the OAD but with regional focus. The focus could be geographical (neighbouring countries) or cultural (linguistic or cultural similarities over a geographic region).

As of February 2020, there are 11 ROADs/LOADs with two of them acting as combined ROAD-LOAD and a dedicated LOAD for Portuguese language.
