Processing pictures
Students participate in the Haiti All-Sky Camera project, which was funded by the OAD Annual Call for Proposals. The project coordinators installed a specialised camera in Haiti to observe and record the night sky. University students collaborated on building the code to automate the data collection, as well as to process the images, store them in a database and display them online. The results were used to teach students and the public about astronomy.
