Obituary:

Born in 1939 in Leningrad (presently Saint Petersburg), Konstantin V. Kholshevnikov graduated from Leningrad State University and has been working there all his life. PhD (1965), Full Dr. Sci. (1971), Professor (1975). His main works are in celestial mechanics and dynamics of Solar System. Prof. Kholschevnikov was author of more than 200 papers and 13 monographs. He was extremely bright, witty, intelligent person, much beloved by his many students and colleagues. During several decades he was one of chairmen of Organizing Committee of largest Russian yearly conference for students and junior scientists in Kourovka.

Asteroid 3504 Kholshevnikov (IAU, 1991) was named after him.
